DMSE Becomes Eighth Joint Program Department

MIT’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering (DMSE) has received Institute approval to join the interdisciplinary Computational Science and Engineering PhD (Dept-CSE PhD) program, making it the eighth department to join the Center for Computational Science and Engineering’s (CCSE) multi-departmental doctoral program since its start in 2013. DMSE will award degrees under the thesis field “Computational Materials Science and Engineering” starting in September 2021.
