CCSE Master’s Degree Name Change Approved
CCSE is pleased to share that the MIT Committee on Graduate Programs has approved the request to rename the Computation for Design and Optimization (CDO) master’s degree program to an SM in Computational Science and Engineering.
With this change the names of the Center, our SM program and our interdepartmental doctoral program are consistent, the scope of the education received by our SM students is more accurately reflected and we’re better aligned with the terminology being used across industry and academia, both nationally and internationally.
This change will be the effective for the September 2020 degree list.
