Mouyang Cheng Awarded CCSE MathWorks Research Prize 2026
The MIT CCSE MathWorks Research Prize for Outstanding Doctoral Research, 2026 was awarded to Mouyang Cheng for his work, “Closing the Gap in AI-Powered Quantum and Materials Science”.

The nomination process is initiated by a letter from an advisor, supported by a letter of recommendation from an additional MIT faculty member and completed when the student nominee provides a statement of cumulative research accomplishments not to exceed four pages, inclusive of figures and references. All materials should be submitted to Kate Nelson via email (kpnelson@mit.edu).
Sunday February 22nd (EOD)
The prize award includes a $500 payment and certificate. Award winner(s) will be announced during the CCSE reception in the afternoon of Thursday March 12th.
